ROAD BARRIERS IN WOOD
an excellent solution in the middle of nature

Wooden road barriers are safety devices used along roads to prevent road accidents. They are usually installed along roadsides, on bridges, in pedestrian and cycle paths, in parking areas, and in other areas where it is necessary to separate vehicular traffic from cycle paths or pedestrian areas.
Wooden road barriers can be made from various types of wood.
The wooden road barriers are painted and treated to increase their durability and prevent the accumulation of humidity.

Wooden road barriers are an aesthetic and natural choice for the surrounding environment, however, care must be taken to ensure they are properly maintained and replaced if worn or damaged.

Wooden road barriers are classified, like steel ones, according to strength.
The classes are:
  • N2 for urban and extra-urban roads
  • H1 H1 barriers are often used on main, secondary and urban suburban roads
  • H2 often used on main extra-urban roads with type II traffic and exteaurban/urban slip roads with type III traffic.

Each road barrier / guard rail is installed according to the technical installation requirements provided by the manufacturers in compliance with the EN 3117-5 2017 standard and the relative certificate of correct installation is provided.
